Lead Teacher

Job Title: Lead Teacher

Pay: DOE

Hours:  18 – 28 hours/wk of classroom instruction

4 hours/wk curriculum planning

Schedule:  5 to 8 half day classes per week. Classes run:

  • Monday 9:15 – 4:15
  • Tuesday  9:15 – 12:45
  • Wednesday 9:15 – 4:15
  • Thursday 9:15 – 12:45
  • Friday 9:15 – 4:15

Start Date: September 8, 2020

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement an outdoor preschool curriculum including:
    • Create a program that is easily adaptable for ages 2 – 8
    • Weekly meetings (via email or call) with Director to discuss curriculum focus points
    • Email lesson plan overview a month prior
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
  • Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence
  • Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
  • Ensure an effective program, responsive to children’s needs
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with parents
  • Weekly communication and updates with all families through the SeeSaw App
  • Maintain a clean work environment following LNT (Leave No Trace) Principles
  • In the event of a Shelter in Place Order, record lessons/activities to post on our group page for families to access

Teacher’s Assistant

Job Title: Teacher’s Assistant

Pay: $15 – 18/hr

Hours:  12 – 28 hours/wk of classroom instruction

Schedule:  3 to 8 half day classes per week.

Classes Operate:

  • Monday 9:15 – 4:15
  • Tuesday  9:15 – 12:45
  • Wednesday 9:15 – 4:15
  • Thursday 9:15 – 12:45
  • Friday 9:15 – 4:15

Start Date: September 8, 2020

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the lead teacher by (but not limited to):
    • assisting families with pickup and drop-off procedures such as health assessment, temperature taking, and hand washing.
    • assisting students with opening/closing snacks and lunches
    • assisting with restroom breaks, diaper changes and clothing changes
    • assisting with set up and clean up of all activities
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
  • Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence
  • Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
  • Ensure an effective program, responsive to children’s needs
  • Maintain a clean work environment following LNT (Leave No Trace) Principles
